Performers ages 14 & up work with theatre professionals and actors to produce, rehearse, and perform in an inclusive theatre production of the hybrid musical Could You Hug A Cactus? Based on a collection of whimsical poems, Could You Hug A Cactus is a musical revue which follows a group of people as they come together to create a show that is bursting with poetry and creativity. Participants must be available to rehearse on Sundays and Tuesdays, and must be available for a performance on June 9. Jr. Fitness: Earn the privilege of using the fitness floor before age 16. Participants meet individually with a fitness staff member and learn fitness floor etiquette, safety and correct use of equipment. Upon successful completion, teen members ages 12-15 may use the fitness floor without being accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must successfully pass all areas of the program and be proficient in exercise technique, safety and fitness floor etiquette to receive their card. All Jr. Fitness Card Orientations include our fitness staff orienting your teen on the Cybex Equipment and Cardio equipment. Offered as a condensed 4-week mini session, opposed to the standard 8-week program, Kinderdance® remains a developmental dance, motor skill, music, and fitness program, blended with academics, specifically designed for children ages 3-5. Family Park Hunts are a great way to engage in an easy physical activity, appreciate the parks of Dublin, and participate in a City of Dublin Signature Event activity! Independence Day Park Hunt: Put your puzzle solving skills to the test with our Independence Day Celebration word scramble and trivia in Coffman Park. Visit Coffman Park, and find our Independence Day signs, look carefully at the jumbled words and try unscrambling the anagrams and answer as many trivia questions related to and Independence Day holiday and celebration hosted by the City of Dublin. There are a total of 10 signs throughout the park – so make sure to look high and low and everywhere in between, as they are hidden throughout the entire park! Write down your answers and submit for your chance to win a 4-ticket package to the City of Dublin Independence Day Celebration.

My First Camp is the first step in our summer camp experience. This program introduces summer camp to young children by combining learning and fun in a half-day experience. Activities are designed to increase social development, self-esteem, and independence through games, songs, crafts, nature, and sports. Campers have a variety of structured indoor and outdoor, age-specific activities scheduled each day. My First Camp does not go swimming or take field trips. Children must be potty-trained.

Join Ms. Barbara at the DCRC Pond for a fun, family evening of fishing! Get up close and hands-on with nature as we practice techniques to catch fish, including how to properly cast and catch. Equipment and supplies are provided, however families are welcome to bring their own poles. Registration fee is per child participant (families receive one set of materials per registered child). Parent participation required for those under the age of 18.

This high-energy program introduces children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. Two-year-old children love to explore! Such freedom allows for a variety of physical activities. Our program allows a two year old’s natural curiosity to flourish in a multitude of ways with an emphasis on movement exploration. Young children enjoy a challenge, and when they are given the opportunity to test their abilities, it is both developmentally appropriate as well as safe. Kindertots® is designed to develop gross motor skills, movement creativity, physical development, and body awareness while learning numbers, colors, shapes, and songs. Our trained dance teachers/instructors ensure a learning environment that is fun, safe, and full of care. Camp Kaltenbach is the second step in our summer camp experience that provides age specific activities for continued growth in social development, self-esteem, and independence. This full day structured camp provides a variety of exploratory activities in sport, science, nature and art. Campers swim once a week and participate in a field trip at the end of the summer.

Extended Weeks Camp is exclusively for camp participants enrolled in priority registration (all 8-weeks) for Camp Kaltenbach or Wyandot Camp. Participating in priority registration does not guarantee your child’s enrollment for the extended weeks due to limited enrollments available at each location.

Extended Weeks Camp follows the Wyandot Camp daily format. Weekly swimming & field trips included. No meal plan is available during Extended Weeks Camp. Patrons can choose preferred location during registration.

Christa is an award winning cake artist with over 14 years of cake decorating and baking experience, whom was recently featured on Food Network's Halloween Baking Championship. f your child has an allergy to certain foods, we would recommend contacting a member of the Preschool, Youth & Teen Program Team prior to registering.

Independence Day Cookie Cakes: Learn the tips and tricks to creating 4 mini Independence Day-themed cookie cakes. Learn how to stack a cookie cake, create small buttercream flowers and designs, and correctly hold and assemble a piping bag to create beautiful buttercream art on the cookie cakes. Each participant creates and takes desserts at the end of each program along with the piping tips so they can re-create buttercream designs at home.

Would your child know what to do if they have forgotten their house key? What if they are home alone and they are choking? Our Kidz Home Alone class will give you and your child peace of mind when home alone. As creators of this class, we thought of every home alone scenario possible, and provide solutions for all of those ‘what-if’s”. This course is designed to teach your child about being home alone safely. An informative parent guide is included in the student manual and provides an avenue for discussion between parent and child. This engaging and interactive class is fun and includes guest speakers from the local Police and Fire Departments (when available).

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that incorporates self-defense moves, hand techniques, and a variety of kicks. Ji Do Kwon is one of the oldest forms of Tae Kwon Do, dating back 2000 years. Traditional, Ji Do Kwon training focuses on discipline through formal practice in a non-contact format. Ji Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do includes kicking, punching, striking, blocking, and formal patterns called forms. Training is continuous from white belt through black belt rank. Martial artists learn discipline and respect while they are exercising, having fun, and making new friends. Students progress to increasing belt levels at their own pace. When ready, they have the opportunity to participate in promotional tests (for an additional fee) to increase their rank and qualify to learn advanced techniques. Uniforms can be purchased from the instructor for an additional fee.

Open to all skill levels, Coach Kyle will take basketball players through a series of dynamic warm ups and conditioning workouts, skills and drills training, and small-group game play. Throughout the 6-week session, players will develop in the following categories: ball-handling, shooting, footwork, offensive techniques, and overall sportsmanship. This small group format is perfect for new players or for those looking to increase confidence in their game.

Join us as we create memories to last a lifetime. Campers travel every day to find adventure all around Columbus. A few of our current adventures include kayaking, bowling, swimming, ninja courses and various metro parks (and we keep adding to our lineup)! In this art history presentation, discussion focuses on medieval sculpture from the realism of the Roman Empire to the return of classical ideals of the Early Renaissance.
