Over the course of four weeks, youth artists will learn basic theatre principles by participating in the brand-new musical, Jungle Jim KIDZ; no audition required! To show off all that they have learned, the camp will end with three public performances.
Jungle Jim KIDZ is a musical about Jungle Jim, a young adventurer whose vivid imagination takes him and his animal friends on magical interactive adventures throughout the animal world! One night, after arguing with his little sister about sharing their toys, young Jim dreams of adventure in the jungle wild. When he magically awakens in the thick of the tropics, “Jungle Jim” finds himself in the middle of a search for a missing leopard cub!
Participants must be available to rehearse Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, June 3-28 and attend all three (3) performances on June 28 (7 p.m.), June 29 (2 p.m.) and June 30 (2 p.m.).

Youth artists participate in a delightfully offbeat musical adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure about a boy, his insect friends, and an amazing journey across the ocean. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Performers must participate in auditions for this production and be available to rehearse Monday-Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. from June 10 - July 18. *Performers must be available for all performances (July 18–21).*

Participants ages 14-21 will rehearse and perform world premiere productions – written by Otterbein University creative writing students! Participants must be registered to attend and participate in the pre-professional auditions and be available to rehearse Monday-Thursday from 4-6 p.m. from May 28 - June 13. Performers must be also available for all performances (June 14-16).*

Participants ages 14-21 will rehearse and perform Green Day’s powerhouse album in this electric-rock musical of youthful disillusion. Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged. An energy-fueled rock opera, “American Idiot” relies on the lyrics from Green Day’s groundbreaking album to execute the storyline.
**American Idiot performers must be registered to attend and participate in the pre-professional auditions and available to rehearse Monday-Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. from July 15- Aug. 7. Performers must also be available for all performances (Aug. 8-17).**

Participants ages 14-21 will rehearse and perform the Off-Broadway musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. *Alice by Heart performers must be registered to attend and participate in the pre-professional auditions and available to rehearse Monday-Friday from 7-9:30 p.m. from July 15- Aug. 7. Performers must be available for all performances (August 8–17).*
