Adult Level I
For adults who are new to the water. The goal is to overcome fear of the water and teach basic swimming techniques. Skills taught include water adjustment, floating on the back and stomach, flutter kicking on your stomach and back, arm action for the front crawl and the elementary backstroke.

Designed to introduce the inexperienced or fearful adult to become more comfortable in and around the water. Swimmers will learn how to float and to start using combined arm and leg actions.

Adult Level 2
Participants further coordinate the front crawl with rotary breathing and backstroke. New strokes include elementary backstroke and breaststroke. The goal is to incorporate stroke development, build endurance and adjust to being in deep water.
Participants must be able to swim 25 yards of Free Style and Back Stroke without stopping! Do not register for this course if these prerequisites are not met.

Our adaptive aquatics program focuses on water safety, self-confidence, and other physical developmental skills. These classes are taught in a non-competitive environment, and each child progresses at his or her own pace. We request that all participants be accompanied in the water by a parent or provider.

Private swim lessons will be offered at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Private lessons will be offered in a package of (5) 30 minute lessons. Each 30 minute lesson will allow participants to specialize on certain skills with one-on-one focused teaching. During the first lesson, instructors will work with participants to develop an individualized lesson plan for a specific skill or refinement to meet their needs and goals!

Aquatic Conditioning is an offering from the competitive pathway students can pursue upon completion of Level 5. The focus of the program is to continue building endurance and stroke technique on all major competitive strokes. It also encourages swimming as a part of a healthy lifestyle.
