Sr. Cooking Camp

Stirring up fun in the kitchen! Join us for a culinary adventure tailored to each age group, ensuring a deliciously educational experience for all young chefs. This hands-on camp is designed to kindle a passion for cooking while providing foundational skills that will turn any kitchen into a creative playground. From basic knowledge to intermediate techniques, each participant creates their culinary journey and leaves with a personalized cookbook filled with their creations. Camp highlights:

Follow Recipes & Kitchen Safety: Learn how to follow recipes with precision. Embrace kitchen safety practices, ensuring a secure and enjoyable cooking environment.

Age-Appropriate Cooking & Baking Fundamentals: Learn the art of measuring, handling wet and dry ingredients, mixing and blending, kid-friendly knife skills and chopping techniques, and developing an understanding of kitchen tools.

Ingredient Exploration: Learn about different ingredients, their flavors and how they may interact in a recipe.

Cookbook Compilation: Compile all your culinary masterpieces into a personalized cookbook. Leave camp with a collection of recipes to recreate and share at home.

If your child has an allergy to certain foods, we would recommend contacting a member of the Preschool, Youth & Teen Program Team prior to registering.
Camp Cancellation Policy: We understand that summer plans can change. The City of Dublin makes firm financial commitments to camp staff, field trips and program supplies each summer. Outside of priority registration, all camps and specialty camps cancelled prior to May 17, 2024 will be refunded in full minus a $50.00, non-refundable fee per week, per child. Cancellations made after May 17 will not receive a refund. Transfer requests made after May 17 will not be accepted.

Health Care Forms: A 2024 online health care form is required to participate - Parents/Guardians will receive Health Care Form information via email closer to the start date of the registered camp. This email will be sent from a computer software system, Campsite Management - @mail.campsitemail.com (no-reply email address - do not email this account) - Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email from Campsite, or contact us for additional help.

Allergies: We understand and recognize that there are many allergies that can be life threatening to a person, and we do our best to limit the risk of these accidental exposures. We work to provide a safe program space for all our participants, though we are unable to guarantee a completely allergen free environment for our participants, as we utilize many shared program spaces and supplies to conduct our programs and camps. If your child has an allergy to certain foods, we would recommend contacting a member of the Preschool, Youth & Teen Program Team prior to registering your child.

What to Bring/Wear: Participants should wear comfortable athletic style clothing and closed toed shoes, and should bring a pre-filled water bottle. No Crocs or Sandals permitted.
